Arundo donax (Laskowa Cane) Laskówka

This is the highest of herbaceous grasses occurring in natural sites in the South-East Asia. Under the subtropical climate conditions it grows up to 6-10 meters and enjoys at about 5 cm thick stems. It grows many years and has a great ability to grow, thanks to which it can be planted in the ground areas in a number of climatic zones, including the much colder regions like areas throughout the Poland. Maximum performance of the kinds offered by us, under which it grows under optimal conditions, such as those prevailing in the sub-tropics, can be determined at approx. 80 tons of biomass per 1 ha.

Jathropa curcas

It is a small shrub that grows up to 3-5 meters of height. Originally native to Central America and grows well in tropics. It is multi- purpose plant, including the production of bio-fuels, cosmetics and fertilizers.

Why to use jatropha?

Jatropha curcas  plant produces a seed, which contains inedible vegetable oil, which is further used for the production of bio-fuels of the second generation. Each jatropha seed contains between 35 to 37% of the oil in relation to its overall own mass. The oil production efficiency is at 2-3 tons per one hectar.

    • It is resistant to drought.
    • It can be grown almost anywhere - even in sandy, saline or infertile soil.
    • It adapts well to marginal soils with low nutrient content.
    • It is relatively easy to spread.
    • It is not invasive or harmful.
    • It is able to stabilize the dunes, acting as a windbreak and is suitable for combating desertification.
    • It naturally repels insects and animals.
    • Life time is more than 50 years and it is continuously producing seeds all the time.
    • It is relatively resistant to cold.
    • It does not exhaust the nutrients in the soil and has the ability to regenerate.
    • It does not require an expensive crop rotation.
    • It does not require fertilizers.
    • It grows quickly and easily.
    • It is featured by high performance.  
    • After oil extracting, it can be used as a fertilizer or as a biomass energy generating input.

      Gmelina Arborea, Beetchwood, Den

      It is known as Gmelina Arborea in the family Verbenaceae, and is a fast-growing tree species, which offers a wide range of possibilities for its use. Ideal for afforestation, not only in industrial applications due to its rapid growth, but also relatively easy to grow, manage plantations and due to its versatility and physical and mechanical properties it is an excellent material for construction, furniture industry, plywood and sawmill raw material. In their natural environment, Gmelina grows in habitats in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and the southern provinces of China.

      Gmelina is growing very fast. The average height of 8-month-old tree is more than 2.5 meters. 2-year-old trees have an average of 6 meters, and 8-year-old more than 25 meters. At age 12, reaches an average height of over 30 meters. Increase of the wood mass per year is at about 50 m3 of high-quality hardwood from 1 ha. Industrial exploitation begins in a few years after planting, creating a source of significant, stable income, providing a very high return on investment.

      Australian Eucalyptus

      Eucalyptus is adapted to the dry, desert conditions in Australia, but forest exploitation company discovered that eucalyptus cultivation in warm and humid regions brings great results. These trees are growing at a record pace, along with profits. From Asia to Central America companies such as. Shell, willing to "greener" its image while doing business, established plantations of eucalyptus and achieved excellent economic performance. These trees under subtropical climate conditions operationally reach maturity at the age of 5-8 years from planting. They are the source of many valuable raw material in the sawmill, the raw material for the mill, as well as precious source of raw materials for cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry.
